Salman Khan May Launch Shera’s Son Abir Singh With ‘Tarzan’: What We Know

Salman Khan May Launch Shera’s Son Abir Singh

Salman Khan’s longtime bodyguard Gurmeet Singh Jolly, better known as Shera, could soon see his son Abir Singh make his Bollywood debut. According to recent entertainment reports, Abir is being linked to a film titled Tarzan, with actor Sooraj Pancholi also reportedly attached to the project.

The development has revived earlier reports about Salman’s plans to help launch Shera’s son in the Hindi film industry. However, an important distinction remains: there has not yet been a comprehensive official announcement confirming Salman Khan’s role as producer or formally announcing Tarzan.

What Happened

Reports about Abir Singh’s Bollywood debut resurfaced in September 2026, with Tarzan being identified as the project through which he could enter the film industry.

The reports also link Sooraj Pancholi to the film. Details about the director, production banner, shooting schedule, and release date, however, have not been officially established.

The current reports trace the project back to earlier plans involving Salman Khan and Abir. This is not the first time Abir’s potential launch has been discussed in the media.

Salman Khan’s Connection to Abir’s Launch

Salman Khan and Shera have maintained a long professional relationship, with Shera serving as the actor’s personal bodyguard for decades.

In previous years, reports said Salman wanted to give Shera’s son an opportunity in Bollywood. A 2022 report had linked that proposed launch to filmmaker Satish Kaushik, with the project reportedly expected to begin production in 2023.

Those plans did not materialize publicly. Kaushik died in March 2023, and no officially released film emerged from the earlier project.

The renewed Tarzan reports have therefore brought the proposed launch back into the spotlight.

Who Is Abir Singh?

Abir Singh is the son of Shera, whose real name is Gurmeet Singh Jolly. Shera is one of the most recognizable security professionals associated with Bollywood and has been closely associated with Salman Khan for many years.

Abir has previously been referred to in reports by the name “Tiger,” including in connection with Shera’s security business. More recent reports about the proposed acting career identify him as Abir Singh.

The change in how he has been identified in earlier reports is one reason it is important to rely on the latest reporting when discussing his potential debut.

Is Salman Khan Producing ‘Tarzan’?

That remains unclear.

While Salman Khan has previously been reported as wanting to launch Abir, the latest reports do not establish that he will personally produce Tarzan. The production banner, director, and other major production details have not been conclusively confirmed through an official announcement.

For now, the most accurate description is that Abir Singh is reportedly being considered or positioned for a debut in Tarzan, while Salman’s formal involvement remains unconfirmed.

Sooraj Pancholi Is Also Reportedly Linked to the Film

Sooraj Pancholi has also been named in reports surrounding Tarzan.

His connection adds another link to Salman Khan’s history of supporting new actors. Pancholi made his Bollywood debut in Hero in 2015, a film produced under Salman Khan’s production banner. Athiya Shetty also made her acting debut in the film.

Salman has subsequently been associated with several launches and career opportunities involving newcomers, making reports of his possible involvement in Abir’s debut particularly noteworthy.

The Earlier Satish Kaushik Project

The latest Tarzan reports should not be confused with the earlier project that was reportedly being developed for Abir.

In 2022, reports said Salman Khan was backing a film intended to launch Shera’s son, with Satish Kaushik attached as director. Shooting was reportedly expected to begin in January 2023, but the project never received a public, fully confirmed production rollout.

Following Kaushik’s death in March 2023, there was little public information about the proposed film.

The current reports suggest that Abir’s potential entry into Bollywood is now being discussed in connection with a different project, Tarzan.

What Happens Next

The key development to watch is an official announcement confirming Tarzan and Abir Singh’s involvement.

Until that happens, several important details remain open, including the film’s director, producer or production banner, full cast, filming schedule and release date. Salman Khan’s precise role in the project also remains to be confirmed.

For now, Abir Singh’s reported Tarzan debut represents a possible new chapter in a Bollywood connection that has been discussed for several years. Whether the project ultimately moves into production will depend on an official confirmation from the filmmakers or the people involved.
